Today was another awesome day of Worship! Mary and I spent the first half of morning in the prayer room of our Chapel. We pray for the service , the Pastor, the people in the service, the people in the praise band, our hearts, prayer requests and praises submitted by the congregation and visitors. What an awesome way to start the day! It reminds me very quickly and powerfully just how frail our lives are and how we are all in need of a Saviour!
The second half of the morning was listening to the praise band and the sermon from the Pastor. Today he talked about how it takes a leap of faith to trust in Jesus and make a commitment to Him. I though t he covered it pretty well, and as he talked I thought that this was something that really needed to be explained and talked about. people who have not given thier lives to Jesus don't really have a clue what we are talking about? We use our church lingo and think that everybody understands.
What does it really mean, in everyday language to be saved, to give your life to the Lord, to be born again? Can you explain it in a way that a non-churched person can understand? Great question! What do you think?
